Task 2: Mediterranean-Continental climate and vegetation (Victoria, 5th grade)

Good morning everybody!

Today we are going to start with Victoria´s project! She has done an incredible job about the Mediterranean-Continental climate:


 MEDITERRANEAN CONTINENTAL  CLIMATE
In zones where the climate is Mediterranean Continental, the temperatures vary a lot during the year.
In summer, the temperatures are very hot, and in winter, the temperatures are very cold.
The precipitation is low, it rains mostly in autumn and spring.

The vegetation that grows with this climate is:
Cork oak, Portuguese oak and Holm oak.
Steepe (grasses and thorny bushes)
Mediterranean Continental climate, is characterized by hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters and located between about 29 and 33 degrees north of the Equator and on the western sides of the continents.
For example, in the north of Israel, the climate is Mediterranean Continental, and the vegetation is:

Palestine oak
 And Pistacia terebinthus
